‘No. 3’ Henderson to make debut against Clippers

Scooter Henderson (19-Portland Trailblazers) will make his NBA debut.

According to a report from Portland beat reporter Sean Heikin on Sunday morning, the team will debut Henderson on Oct. 26 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Henderson, who is coming off a successful offseason that saw him grow from 6-foot-2 (188 cm) to 6-foot-4 (193 cm) in recent years, entered the NBA Draft as a longtime scouting favorite.

Projected as a solid No. 2 pick behind No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama, Henderson was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the No. 2 pick, giving way to Brandon Miller. With guards like Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simmons, and Shayne Sharpe in the mix, Portland couldn’t pass up the talent of Henderson and took him without hesitation.메이저사이트

Upon joining Portland, Henderson immediately made his mark in the Summer League. In a short amount of time, his moves were enough to mesmerize many Portland fans. He scored 15 points and dished out six assists in just 21 minutes, showing off his skills as a ball-handler.

Although his summer league ended prematurely with a right shoulder injury, Henderson has continued to work on his game on the basketball court during the offseason with brothers Steph Curry and Seth Curry, Klay Thompson, DeAaron Parks, Donovan Mitchell, Josh Christopher, and Jordan Poole. In particular, he’s worked to improve his outside shooting, which is one of his weaknesses, with Curry’s guidance.

Meanwhile, Portland, which is supposed to be developing Henderson, still has the Lillard saga going on.

If Henderson, whose position overlaps with Lillard’s, stays with the team, he won’t get as many minutes and won’t be able to accumulate as many stats, which is a prerequisite for Rookie of the Year honors. Therefore, Lillard’s choice will have a lot to do with it.
