PGA Tour Q School schedule announced for KPGA players to participate

Qualifying (Q) School, which provides direct tickets to the PGA Tour, has been revived for the first time in 10 years, allowing Korean male golfers to compete on the world’s largest golf stage.

The PGA Tour announced the tournament schedule, starting with the preliminary round on the 21st (Korean time) and ending with the final match to be held at TPC Sawgrass (Dice Valley Course) and Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida from December 14th to 17th. . The PGA Tour described the revived Q School as ‘a place where dreams and nightmares come true at the same time, and a player’s life can be changed with one shot.’

This year, in accordance with the business agreement between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and the Korea Men’s Professional Golf (KPGA) Tour, domestic tour players will be given the opportunity to participate from the first stage to the second and final stages of the schedule below. Therefore, players dreaming of playing on the PGA Tour should review the schedule and course below and consider their future schedule.

The top five players in the PGA Tour Q School will receive direct tickets to the PGA Tour for the 2024 season starting in January of next year. Those ranked outside of 5th and tied for 40th place will receive the right to participate in next year’s second division Korn Ferry Tour. Here, 1st place is given a full seed in the Korn Ferry Tour, 2nd to 10th places receive the right to participate in 12 competitions at the beginning of the Korn Ferry season, and 11th to 40th place receive the right to participate in 8 competitions.

For example, a player who ranked 6th in Q School will participate in the Korn Ferry Tour next year and if he finishes the season with good results, the top 30 points will receive the right to participate in the PGA Tour the following year (2025). Of course, even if you apply for Q School again and place in the top 5, you will still be eligible to compete.
