‘Captain’ Heo Kyung-min had a bizarre day that decided the team’s fifth place finish in the regular season.

Doosan said, “Heo Kyung-min was hit in the right temple by a pitch and is being treated with icing. We will decide whether to examine him after monitoring his condition.”
Doosan had one last chance in the bottom of the ninth, when Kim In-tae hit a solo shot and two batters later, SSG first baseman Oh Tae-gon missed Yang Ji-hye’s shot. However, the final batter, Kang Seung-ho, was hit by a pitch to end the inning. As a result, the one run conceded on an irregular boundary became the final run for the fifth-place finishers.
