‘Asia’s Most Valuable Player’ Kim Min-jae ranked 12th among defenders worldwide…8th among CBs
Kim Min-jae is ranked 12th in the world among defenders.
TransferMarkt, a soccer statistics company, has updated the price of players playing in the Premier League (PL), La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A, and more. The publication periodically updates the approximate market value of each player based on their current performance, age, and contract length.
Once the update was complete, the publication published the top 20 highest-paid defenders on March 23 with the headline “The new defensive elite”. The highest-priced players are Josuco Gvardiol and Jubeng Dias. Both players were sold to Manchester City for 80 million euros (approximately KRW 115 billion).
Kim’s teammates Alfonso Davies and Mathias De Ligt (both Bayern Munich) are tied for third with €70 million, along with William Saliba (Arsenal), Ronald Araujo (Barcelona), and Éder Militant (Real Madrid).
There are four players tied for eighth place. Nuno Mendes, Ashraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, and Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), who all play for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) alongside Lee, are priced at €65 million (approximately KRW 93 billion).도메인
Just below them is Kim Min-jae at No. 12. Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan), Jules Kunde (Barcelona), Dayo Upamecano (Munich), Cristian Romero (Tottenham Hotspur), and Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) rounded out the list at €60 million.
Kim Min-jae, who is ranked 12th among defenders worldwide, is tied for eighth if you narrow it down to center backs. He is already ranked No. 1 in Asia, proving his skill and value. He is closely followed by Son Heung-min, Mitoma Kaoru, and Kubo Takefusa at €50 million ($71.5 billion).
The good news is that Kim’s value has the potential to rise further. Kim has been in a Munich jersey this summer. It’s early in the season, but he’s already established himself as a key defender for the team, anchoring the back line. If he continues to build his career in Munich, where trophy potential is high, his value could rise even further.
